AC

Type of electrical current where the flow of electric charge periodically reverses direction.

Feature that allows an incoming call to be redirected or forwarded from one phone number to another.

DID

Direct Inward Dialing (DID) is a telephone service that enables a phone number to connect directly to a specific phone within a business, bypassing menus or queues and eliminating the need to dial an extension.

Domain

Grouping of network devices, computers, or resources that share a common set of rules, procedures, or functions.

e911 / Emergency Address

An E911 address, also known as an Enhanced 911 address or Emergency 911 address, refers to the specific physical address associated with a phone number for emergency response purposes in the United States and Canada.

Line

Refers to a physical or virtual pathway that allows communication signals to be transmitted between locations.

Line Type

In telecommunications, the term “line type” refers to the specific characteristics and capabilities of a telecommunications line or circuit. It defines how the line is configured and what types of services or communications it can support.

MAC Address

A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface card (NIC) for communication on a network segment. It is used to ensure that data packets are delivered to the correct device within a local network, facilitating proper network management and security.

Notifications

Notifications are alerts delivered to users or systems to inform them about important events that require their attention.

Phone Number

Unique numerical identifier assigned to a specific telephone line or device, allowing it to be reached by other telephones or communication devices within a telecommunications network.

Port

Physical interface on a device or network that allows for the connection of telecommunications equipment.

Porting

Refers to the process of transferring or moving a phone number from one service provider to another.

Power State

Operational state of a power source in relation to its power supply.

RF-Band

RF-band refers to the range of frequencies used for radio frequency (RF) communications.

RSRP

Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) is a metric used in wireless communications to measure the power level of a reference signal received from a cell tower.

RSRQ

Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ) is a metric used in wireless communications to measure the quality of the received reference signal.

RSSI

Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) measures the power level of a received radio signal, expressed in decibels (dBm). 

Serial Number

Unique identifier assigned to an individual piece of hardware.

SIM

Small, removable card that is used in mobile phones and other devices to authenticate subscribers and allow them to access mobile networks.

Status

Operational state or condition of a service and/or device.

Temp DID

A phone number assigned temporarily for a specific duration or purpose.

User Roles

Predefined sets of permissions and capabilities assigned to individual users within a system, application, or organization.

Virtual IP

A IP address that does not correspond to an actual physical network interface or device. Instead, it is assigned to a virtual network resource such as a virtual machine (VM), load balancer, or a network service running on a cluster of servers
